"The Hangover part 2" grossed $86.5m in its opening weekend; making it the biggest comedy opening ever! To date it has grossed $137m. The movie cost $80m to make, so it has more than made that back. "Bridesmaids" is another film that has created quite a buzz for itself. So far it has grossed $89m, cost $32m to make and 21 screens have been added; giving it a total of 2,958 screens nationwide. "Jumping the broom" is number nine this week with $36m total grossed so far.

Oh I am defintley going to see "Jumping the Broom". One of the women who wrote the movie commented on my blog back in the day. It is so nice seeing people be successful.
Plus I am so tried of all the fuckery that black entertainment has become. Jumping the Broom is more dignified.
Ya know, I knew what The Hangover 2 would, a basic rehash of the the first film, but I liked it a great deal. I haven't been to the movies as much as I would have liked this summer, but I'm looking forward to Captain America and Rise of the Planet of the Apes in August. Actually I just recently saw the trailer for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo over at Farandula.cc and its easily one of my most anticipated. Its David Fincher's follow up to the Social Network with Daniel Craig... Count me in...
That reminds me, I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't really excited for Cowboys and Aliens. James Bond and Indiana Jones fighting aliens in the American Southwest? I'm in!
wow I saw Hangover 2 recently and I didn't think it was as funny as it was hyped up to be. Definitely not funnier than Bridesmaids. There are so many great movies out this summer though.
